Walk dog, clean house
Dishes, garbage
Mow lawn, mail letters

Congenial, black-and-white, a certain set
Rhythm and pace. Yet a little skeptical,
Conflicted in tone somehow, see
About my business, but overall

Some days still, my day is like a David Lynch thing;
I step outside to the trees conspiring
Birds whispering, and folk walking by
Strangely
Another cocky face going someplace,
And I just know that that
Same fuckn crow
Has been hanging around for weeks
Since I moved here,
Braying go home, find water
Pray there pray there

But we have beaches and theaters
Just huge here in W Los Angeles
Hell! This satire could be set in Chicago!
Where it’s rumored they have Winter
And real things to worry on
